We
designed this program for those who dream to
contemplate the imposing spectacle of the Southern
Patagonian Ice Field, but only have a few days to do
it.
|
|
|
During the
itinerary, we will go through huge valleys, cross glaciers and
walk up on a high rocky pass, follow in the footsteps of the
Germans explorers Kolliker and Witte (German Scientific Society
of Buenos Aires) who, in 1916, named this pass and crossed it
for the first time to go to the Patagonian Ice Field. The
efforts will be rewarded, and from the Windy Pass, we will enjoy
one of the most impressive views of Patagonia: the majestic
Southern Patagonian Ice Field. This adventure combines nights in
campground and cozy nights in a lodge in El Chaltén.

1 | Arribo a El Chaltén
Encuentro en El Chaltén
con el guía de la empresa para programar las actividades de los
días siguientes.

Día 2 | Laguna Toro
Caminata de día
completo hacia el Campo Base de la Laguna Toro, disfrutando las
hermosas vistas de los
macizos graníticos desde la Loma del Pliegue Tumbado. El
traslado del equipo general se realizará con
porteadores.

Campamento… Guía de Montaña
Día 3 | Paso del Viento – Mirador del HPS
Luego de bordear la
Laguna Toro y cruzar el Río Túnel (a través de un vado o una
tirolesa según las condiciones),
comenzaremos la travesía hacia el Paso del Viento, puerta de
acceso al Hielo Patagónico Sur.
Durante el ascenso de los 900 metros de desnivel atravesaremos
un glaciar y pedreros de altura.
Las espléndidas vistas durante todo el trayecto, se verán
coronadas por una fabulosa panorámica del Hielo
Patagónico Sur. Pasaremos la noche nuevamente en el Campo Base
de Laguna Toro.

Una caminata de día
completo nos llevará de regreso a El Chaltén. El traslado del
equipo general e individual
se realizará con porteadores.
