Located 280 km far south from Santiago, this beautiful valley, perfeclty delimited by mountainous chains in the direction of the sea, one is in the zenith of its wine development. For already five years to the date, the traditional vineyards of the zone, have been receiving new neighbors. The reason of its arrival is obviously product of the quality of the grapes that are obtained here, and that with the appropriate handling leads to excellent wines. This has been credited in the main world-wide aids and specialized magazines, but mainly by the consumers of all the orb. The Valley of Colchagua counts at the moment on an approximated surface of 16,000 has, planted with vineyards, which corresponds to 20% of the total surface of vineyards of Chile. The main varieties correspond to the classic ones of Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Carménère, being this last one, a present stock only in Chile, and mainly in the Valley of Colchagua. Also, there are in smaller number, stocks for white wine being the Chardonnay and SauvignonBlanc the main ones.
